Counseling Lead: Online Education Initiative (OEI) Implementation of Online Counseling Service - 2018 - 2020
Designed and developed the process for implementation of Diablo Valley College’s Online Counseling service using the Cranium Café web-based, real-time video platform. Responsible for the on-boarding of counselors and staff and the development of online counseling processes, policies and documents. Organized an online counseling pilot using Cranium with a few designated Career Education programs for spring 2020. The pilot expanded into full campus-wide implementation of online counseling due to the COVID-19 campus closure directive.
Life Design Studio Traning Program, June 27 - 30, 2019 Stanford University
Participated in an intensive, immersive 4-day Life Design Training Program sponsored by Stanford University. The program centered around the five (5) “Design Thinking” principles of Empathize, Define, Ideation, Prototype and Test. Training activities included examples of using design principles to First Year Experience or freshmen level students and opportunities to prototype our ideas along with participation in Odyssey Planning. My colleagues (Ted Muñoz, Rudolf Rose) and I implemented our prototype to our home campus community in spring 2020.
D2L Learning Community for District Faculty

Sabbatical Project: Online Student Services Portal
Surveyed a sampling of community colleges, virtual high schools, and universities to determine which web-based technologies and applications are being used for student services. An overview of Web 2.0 technologies were provided as well as recommendations for implementation; (2008)

Facilitated two-part workshop designed to use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessment as an instrument to help participants discover their own unique leadership style.
